입력과 출력 관리
- 운영체제는 입력(마우스, 키보드 등으로 연결)과 출력을 연결시켜줌

- 각 상황과 목적에 맞게 공간에 저장/불러오기 기능을 OS가 판단함

  - 휘발성
    - 컴퓨터가 켜져있는 동안에만 보관
    - 저장 용량은 제한적이라서 모든 정보를 저장할 수 없음
